These are enzymes that are important in several metabolic pathways, including amino acid metabolism, fatty acid biosynthesis, and gluconeogenesis. WebEnzyme-bound biotin acts as a vector to transfer a carboxyl group between donor and acceptor molecules during carboxylation reactions.
