A few things I would try. -obvious stuff, try a different pci slot, try updating motherboard bios, gpu bios and drivers. -undervolt the card and see what happens. -try a beefier psu (not the one from your 4790k.). That cpu is pretty power hungry ans obviously so is the gpu.
