WebJul 13, 2011 · As I've said I've never ran a SBC 2nd Gen (All have been BBC's) but I imagine if you used a Deep Morrosso Air Breather Plate and a 3 1/2" X 14" Filter you should clear the Hood with an RPM or Air Gap on your SBC - NOTE: You should have at least a 1" clearance between the top of the Carb and the Air Filter Top.
